About the Newly Greens
The Shows
The Telly award winning “Green By Design TV” and “NewlyGreens”, both produced by Kaizen Productions LLC, are radio, public access TV and PodCast series focused on healthy, sensible living. Through stories of the people who are taking action we learn the many ways we can incorporate more balanced choices into our daily routine. Kaizen, a Japanese philosophy for continual and consistent improvement, embodies both the ideology of the production company, and the underlying theme of the shows.
The series currently airs to over 10 million households across the nation on over 100 cable television stations. We also reach another 2 million radio listeners in and around New York City, the #1 radio market in the world on WP 88.7 fm through our partnership with The Morning Blend.
The Hosts
Together for over 16 years the newly green (not so newlywed) Greg and Connie bring their chemistry and sense of humor to the small screen (and smaller screen). After performing in a rock band together for years they figured they could handle the stresses of going green.
Greg does much of the writing and investigation for the series. He enjoys covering green initiatives, and has made a commitment to positive change in his own life. Greg began his professional career as a recording and broadcast engineer and still works at a local university doing just that. A Summa Cum Laude Business Management graduate of Felician College and member of Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society, he has presented at the United Nations on business ethics and individual responsibility in relation to global warming. He is also a presenter for The Climate Project.
Connie handles most of the booking and logistics. A longtime musician, she is now also an Assistant District Manager and presenter for The Climate Project. Connie combines a background in production at MTV with her years of stage experience to give the shows a unique flavor. Also holding a Business Management degree from Felician, she enjoys giving seminars on global warming to community groups and schools to help people understand the potential impacts of climate change and to encourage the implementation of solutions. She is pursuing her k-5 teaching certificate and is eager to teach science to children.
In 2008 the pair partnered with Risa Pappas, host of the popular Morning Blend radio show on WP 88.7 fm, for a weekly environmental segment called, funnily enough… “Newlygreens on the Morning Blend”. This fruitful partnership has brought the message of green living to an entirely new audience in the North Jersey area and has also accelerated the production of new content from once every few months to a new segment each week.
